Pastel Winter Wedding

Updated: Feb 8, 2023

Grace & Richard's Winter Wedding took place at one of our fave ever venues: Holmes Mill. A revived Cotton Mill, turned Food Hall, Wedding Venue, Brewery, Restaurant, Cinema, Hotel..... oh, and they have a Bowling Alley too! We're very honoured to be a recommended supplier here <3

Industrial Wedding Venue

Holmes Mill is a super versatile venue, giving couples the option to use Rounds, Banquet Tables or both! We've done so many different set ups here and both types of Table look beautiful. Grace & Richard opted for the Banquet Style as they had over 110 guests, so Banquets can sometimes be easier in terms of fitting everyone in!

As the Venue is so naturally beautiful and full of texture, it doesn't always need a huge amount of Table Decor. You also tend to be limited to space with the Banquet Tables, so we do normally recommend something small for the Florals with accessories to add lots of interest.

As the palette was typical of a Spring Wedding, (and this was a November Wedding) there were certain elements we brought in to give that all important nod to Winter. One of those was the accents of Copper and the Peach Berries coupled up with the VIP Roses tinted Violet Tulips.

Each Table had a gorgeous Powder Blue Fabric Runner with Tapered Candle Holders painted Copper and we had Pastel Tapers of Pale Green, Powder Blue & Blush. To help bring the Copper through, we added our Copper Votives as well as a selection of Modern Stone & Frosted Blush Votives.

Grace & Richard has lots of cute and personalised touches to add to their Tables; Acrylic Name Places, Bath Bombs with the Manchester Bee and Heart Keepsakes. And rather than the Traditional Table Numbers, they chose Destinations at which they've both shared special memories. And let's not forget that every guest got a Richard & Grace Pale Ale supplied by Bowland Brewery. They also had a personalised Beer Tap made, and both the Bride & Groom pulled each other a Pint during their Couples Photo Session.

We LOVE a Circle Sign!! They're so different and eye catching, plus go ever so beautifully with Florals! Rather than doubling up on Florals, we used the same arrangement for the Welcome Sign and the Table Plan. In the third image you can faintly see the background is a World Map and the Table Names: Seattle, Chicago, New York, Cartagena and Singapore, with the Top Table named Cape Town. What a list of destinations!!!

We used all the Guest Table Bud Vases to dress the aisle with pretty Florals. We can't wait to see the professional images, especially the shot of the first image on the left - how GORGEOUS is Grace's Dress from Ava Rose paired with Richard's Brown Tweed Suit from Slaters?!

Rather than a backdrop, Grace & Richard wanted to keep it simple with their Florals. Therefore, like always, we decorated the Signing Table with elements from the Top Table and placed that as centre stage instead.

Grace choose a Muted Pastel Colour Palette with Blues, Pinks, Lilacs and Ivories with hints of Orange and Copper. We used a beautiful variety of Roses for the focal Flowers with Delphiniums, Helleborus, Oxypetalum, Spray Roses & Campanula, finished off with Copper Sprayed Parvai Eucalyptus & Peachy Orangey Ilex Berries.

As well as Grace's Bouquet and our ever favourite Crate pic, you'll also see Richard's Buttonhole and the Flower Girl's Alice Band. Alice Band's are ideal for ages 3 - 8 year olds. They're super cute, lightweight and much cheaper than a full Floral Crown.

Lilac and Orange Brides Bouquet

We hate to see your precious bouquets being discarded on the table or bar after all the official stuff is out of the way.

But do not worry, we have you covered!! We always bring a Vase along with us to Venues, and more often than not, we'll even grab your Bouquet and pop it in the Vase for you, saving you the stress. Here's Grace's in our Pink Hexagon Vase.
