Step into the Olive Owl Tavern for an intimate evening of northern charm, folklore, and proper hearty scran. This is an immersive, cosy winter gathering where good beer, good stories, and good company come together under candlelight.

You’ll try four small-batch ales from a local brewery. Between tastings, you’ll hear short, atmospheric folklore tales — strange, witchy, funny and a little bit wild — the kind of stories once traded around old inns and alehouses.

We’ll bring the tavern to life with call-and-response chants, a sprinkle of mischief, and simple old bar games that get everyone laughing. Midway through the evening, you’ll tuck into a proper northern pie supper from our local pie maker — warm, comforting and absolutely delicious.
